Year In Review: Best Swords Of 2021

2021 has been a big year.  We added dozens of new and exciting swords to our collection, and saw increases in popularity in many classics, too.  Below are some of the best-of-the-best from 2021, ranging from Fantasy Swords through to martial arts and collectors' masterpieces.

This sword is a replica of the protagonist Ichigo Kurosaki's melee-type Zanpakutō Zangetsu (斬月 - "Slaying Moon") marked by a long blade. One of our most popular Fantasy Swords.

This sword is a replica of Kisuke Urahara's Zanpakutō Benihime (紅姫 - "Crimson Princess"). Usually in the form of a cane, when released, it changes into a sword that is notable for its lack of Tsuba (replaced by a blade-covering guard) and for its crimson tassel. It is one of the few Zanpakutō with a female spirit owned by a male.

This sword is a replica of Kenpachi Zaraki's Melee-Type Zanpakutō Nozarashi (野晒 - "Weather-Beaten One"). The Tsuka and Saya are white, and the blade is notched due to the spiritual disharmony between it and its wielder. However, it can still cut through almost anything.

A top seller for collectors, this regal sword has been given special attention in its design and construction. With exquisite art decorating the Tsuba and Kashira and with a beautiful hardwood Tsuku, this sword is as much a work of art as it is a functional tool. This Katana is a step up, having more detailed artwork on the Saya and Tsuba as well as higher quality overall. The sword looks excellent on display, but is also fully functional and Battle-Ready.

This sword is a replica of Giyu Tomioka Nichirin Katana sword. His katana is in a shade of dark blue, complementing his breathing style, Water Breathing. The tsuba is hexagonal shaped with a bronze core and with an overlapping red border and his scabbard is black in color. On the side of his katana, the words "Destroy Demons" are carved.

This sword is a replica of Kochou Shinobu Stinger Nichirin Katana. Shinobu uses a heavily modified Nichirin Blade, it is the same as any katana from the handle to slightly above the tsuba, but above that, the weapon loses its blade and is replaced by a rod.

This is a replica of Inosuke Hashibira double Nichirin Katanas. These swords he shaped a jagged edge like a beast's teeth and jaws, perfect for tearing through flesh, which is more to his liking. They don't have a tsuba or scabbard, but rather uses bandages to tie his katanas, unlike his fellow Demon Slayers.
